Catalog: items, modifiers, categories, availability

Your catalog is what customers see and order on your Ordering Link. Build it from the Catalog area in the sidebar, which contains Items, Categories, Modifiers and Catalog Availability.

Add an item

Items are the products or dishes customers order.

  1. Go to Catalog → Items and click Create an Item.
  2. Under Details, fill in:
    • Name (required) — what customers see.
    • Category — pick one from the list (create categories first if the list is empty).
    • Images — click Click to upload and add up to 4 photos (PNG, JPG or JPEG, max 5MB each). Items with photos sell better.
    • Description — up to 400 characters (a live counter shows how many are left).
    • Locations — choose where the item is sold. Pick All to select every location; a "Make this item available to all future locations" checkbox then appears if you want new locations to include it automatically.
    • Prep time (in minutes) (required) — how long it takes to prepare.
  3. Under Additional Details, fill in:
    • Price (required) — in Naira (₦).
    • Unit terminology (optional) — e.g. "Per plate", "Per bottle".
    • Weight in kg (optional) — used to calculate the shipping fee if the item is shipped; leave blank if it won't be shipped.
  4. (Optional) Add Modifiers — see "Add a modifier to an item" below.
  5. Click Save.

The item now appears on your Ordering Link. To leave without saving, click Cancel.

Add photos to an item

Each item supports up to 4 images (PNG, JPG or JPEG, max 5MB each).

  1. Open the item (Create an Item or edit an existing one).
  2. Under Images, click Click to upload and select your photos.
  3. To swap a photo, click Change Image on it; to remove one, click the trash icon.
  4. Click Save.

Clear, well-lit photos noticeably improve orders.

Edit or delete an item

  1. Go to Catalog → Items.
  2. Find the item — use the Search box or Filter by Prep Time. (An empty list shows "No items found".)
  3. Open the item's actions menu and choose:
    • Edit — change any detail, then Save.
    • Delete — remove the item. Confirm when asked.

Duplicate an item

To create a similar item without starting from scratch:

  1. Go to Catalog → Items and open the item's actions menu.
  2. Click Duplicate.
  3. Adjust the copy's details and Save.

Mark an item out of stock

When you run out of something, you don't delete it — you mark it out of stock for the affected locations.

  1. Go to Catalog → Items and open the item's actions menu.
  2. Click Update stock.
  3. Under Out-of-stock Locations, select the locations where it's unavailable (or All).
  4. Confirm. The item is hidden on your storefront for those locations, so customers can't order what you don't have.

To put it back in stock, repeat and remove the locations.

Create a category

Categories group your items on your storefront (e.g. Burgers, Drinks, Smoothies).

  1. Go to Catalog → Categories and click Create a Category.
  2. Enter the Category name (it can't be blank or named "Uncategorized").
  3. Save:
    • Save — create the category.
    • Save & assign items — create it and immediately choose which items go in it.

Customers can browse by category on your Ordering Link.

Rename, assign items to, reorder or delete a category

On Catalog → Categories, open a category's actions menu to:

  • Rename — change its name and Save.
  • Assign items — tick the items that belong in this category.
  • Delete — remove the category (its items aren't deleted, just uncategorised).

You can also drag categories to reorder how they appear on your storefront, and pin a category to keep it at the top.

Create a modifier set

Modifiers let customers customise an item — sizes, proteins, extras. They're built as reusable modifier sets.

  1. Go to Catalog → Modifiers and click Create a Modifier.
  2. Enter a Modifier set name (e.g. "Protein", "Size", "Add-ons").
  3. Under Modifier list, click the + icon to add each option, then enter its Name and Price (₦; use 0 for free options). Click the x on a row to remove it.
  4. (Optional) Tick "Customer can only select one modifier" — the first option in your set becomes the default.
  5. Click Save.

Attach the set to items from the item form (see below).

Add a modifier to an item

Modifiers are attached to an item, and each item can customise how the set behaves.

  1. Open the item (Create an Item or Edit).
  2. Scroll to Modifiers and click Add modifiers.
  3. Select one or more modifier sets, then confirm.
  4. On an attached set, open its menu and click Customize (these settings apply to this item only):
    • Required modifiers — how many the customer *must* choose (None, or 1–5).
    • Maximum selection — the most they can choose (None, or 1–5).
    • Pre-selected — tick options to select them by default for the customer (limited by the maximum).
    • Hide modifiers from customer — the chosen modifiers won't show on customer receipts.
  5. Click Save on the customize panel, then Save the item.

To remove a set from an item, open its menu and click Remove from item.

Schedule when categories are available (Catalog Availability)

Catalog Availability controls *when* your categories can be ordered — so you can run a breakfast menu, weekend specials, or event-day hours.

  1. Go to Catalog → Catalog Availability and click Create catalog availability.
  2. Under Details, set:
    • Internal name (required) — a label only you see.
    • Categories — which categories this schedule applies to (or All).
    • Locations — where it applies (or All; pick Add to all future locations to include new locations automatically).
  3. Under Ordering Availability, choose how the schedule works:
    • Tick "Use the assigned location's business hours…" to simply follow your location's opening hours, or
    • Leave it unticked and set specific times on the Day of week tab (a start and end time per day), or
    • Use the Special date/time tab to add one-off dates and times.
  4. Click Save.

Outside those times, the scheduled categories won't show on your storefront.
