Orders
Every order a customer places lands in Orders in real time, and the sidebar shows a badge on Orders when new ones arrive. Open an order to see its full details and move it along as you prepare and fulfil it.
How orders work
Orders are one of two types: Pickup or Delivery. Each moves through a set of statuses, and the status you set is exactly what the customer sees on their tracking screen.
Pickup orders move through:
- New — just came in, needs your attention.
- In Progress — you're preparing it.
- Ready for Pickup — ready for the customer to collect.
- Done — collected and complete.
Delivery orders move through:
- New — just came in.
- In Progress — you're preparing it.
- Rider at Store — your rider has arrived to collect it.
- Out for Delivery — on its way to the customer.
- Drop-off Confirmed — delivered and complete.
An order can also be Rejected if it's declined.
Open and read an order
- Go to Orders.
- Click an order (or open its actions menu and choose View details). The Order details panel opens and shows:
- The order type (e.g. Delivery Order, or … (Manual)) and a status badge.
- The customer name, the location, and — for delivery — the delivery address.
- The Pickup time or Delivery time, if the order was scheduled.
- An order summary (Subtotal, any fees, and Total).
- Customer details with a Call Customer button that dials them.
- The customer's Note, or "None".
- Use the ← / → arrows at the top to move to the previous or next order without leaving the panel ("3 of 12").
Move an order to the next stage
Open the order and use the button at the bottom to advance it one step. You'll be asked to confirm each change.
- Pickup: Mark as in progress → Mark as ready for pickup → Mark as done.
- Delivery: Mark as in progress → Rider has arrived → Mark as out for delivery (enter rider details — see below) → Confirm drop-off.
You can also advance an order from its actions menu on the Orders list. Keep statuses current — it's what updates the customer's live tracking.
Enter rider details (delivery)
When you click Mark as out for delivery on a delivery order, the Mark as Out for Delivery window asks for:
- Tracking URL (optional) — a live tracking link, if your rider has one.
- Rider name (required).
- Rider Phone number (required) — the +234 prefix is already set.
- Click Save.
The customer can then follow the rider from their order tracking screen.
Extend prep time
If you need more time on an order that's New or In Progress:
- Open the order and click Extend Prep-time (also on the order's actions menu).
- Use − 5 minutes and + 5 minutes to set how much time to add.
- Click Save. The customer's expected time updates.
Reject an order
When an order can be declined, a Reject Order button is available.
- Open the order and click Reject Order.
- Choose a Reason:
- Guest is not eligible for this order
- Order placed outside kitchen hours
- Other — this reveals a Comment box; type a short message so the customer knows why.
- Confirm. The customer is notified that the order was rejected.
Search and filter orders
On the Orders page:
- Search by customer — type a name and press Enter.
- Filter by type — All Orders, Delivery or Pickup.
- Filter by status — All Status, New, In Progress, Ready for Pickup, Rider at Store, Out for Delivery, Drop-off Confirmed, Done or Rejected.
- Filter by location.
An empty result shows "No orders found".
Use Tablet mode
Turn on the Tablet mode toggle for a simple board that groups orders into New, In Progress and Done columns — ideal on a tablet or screen in your store during service. Turn the toggle off to return to the normal list.
Refunds for a rejected or cancelled order
Tabeet is the platform, not the seller, so any refund follows your own refund policy — handle it with the customer. Refunds are recorded as a Refund entry in your Transactions. See "Refunds and cancellations" in Payments & payouts.
